We all have days that don’t go too well. Days that we feel like we backtracked instead of making progress.
It is important to remember on challenging days not to let them win.
Tell yourself it is temporary whatever has caused you to want to quit, even if it seems ongoing. As you stay in prayer, God will give you grace and strength in whatever you are facing.
Take some deep cleansing breaths, inhale God’s peace, and exhale His peace.
God’s mercies are new every day. When you think you just can’t continue, go to bed and let God work on what is troubling you as you sleep. Give Him your worries and concerns, tell Him everything, pray about everything, and then thank Him that as you sleep He will take care of what is concerning you.
Reflect on the times that God has come through for you, and remain expectedly that He will show up for you again.
On those challenging days add more margin to your schedule, and take the space to be still before the Lord to quiet the inner turmoil. At the end of your day, take a relaxing, warm bubble bath and listen to soaking worship music.
Appreciate the things that are going well, savor the simple pleasures, and try to find the good in your difficult days. I know it can be difficult to find the good in challenging days, but try to stay focused on what did go right.
Ask God at every step for His help.
