Word of Encouragement: Who Does God Say That You Are?

The turmoil that has surrounded you not understanding your worth and value is a direct attack to keep you in a cycle of pain. Being rejected is painful. Being betrayed is painful. Being abused is painful. Believing the lies of the enemy that you somehow did something wrong to deserve such treatment, is even more painful. The enemy compounds any pain you go through with his lies that you are not worthy enough of love.

What have you been agreeing with the enemy about yourself? Renounce and come out of agreement with every lie. You know it's a lie if it makes you feel unworthy, unlovable, condemned, or guilty.

After renouncing every lie that you are believing about yourself it’s time to replace and renew your mind with truth. God’s Word is your arsenal for overcoming cycles of pain inflicted by others and even yourself.

You are worthy of love and to belong

The key to breakthrough is to believe God’s truth over the lies of the enemy! The enemy speaks nothing but failure, condemnation, and hopelessness. Your confidence will come again as you renew your mind in truth and believe it! Renewing your mind is a daily occurrence, not just once.

Below are God’s truths about who He says you are. Let these be your new mental tapes:

Say these truths and any others you find out loud and often.

  • I am a child of God (John 1:12).

  • I am a friend of Jesus (John 15:15).

  • I have been justified and redeemed (Romans 3:24).

  • I will not be condemned by God (Romans 8:1).

  • As a child of God, I am a fellow heir of Christ (Romans 8:17).

  • I have been accepted by Christ (Romans 15:17).

  • In Jesus Christ, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).

  • I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

  • I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God (Ephesians 1:4).

  • I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works (Ephesians 2:10).

  • My new self is righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24).

  • I have been chosen by God, and I am holy and blameless (Colossians 3:12).

  • God loves me and has chosen me (1 Thessalonians 1:4).

Make this your new declaration: I am worthy to be loved and to belong. Declare this over yourself until you believe it!
