You may be tired physically, mentally, or spiritually, maybe you are all of these. Yes, the warfare increased significantly, and you felt pressured and squezzed in every direction.

You have felt like quitting everything. Don’t give up! Slow down, pull back, and rest in the Lord. Let’s unpack what this looks like tangibly.

Breath. That’s right, breath. Take slow, deep breaths in and exhale slowly out. Repeat this often throughout your day. So many of you are holding your breath and don’t even know it. Be aware of your breathing. Breath in slowly and expand your lungs.

Slow down. Cut your to-do list back, and don’t overcrowd your schedule. Make ample margin throughout your day. Don’t plan your day every second, but give plenty of time to take breaks. Take breaks all throughout your day if possible. Put your phone away at allotted times, and don’t scroll and check your email but once or twice a day. Get back to the simpler times of life when you did not need to be tied to any electronic device. Walk slower. Don’t be in such a hurry. Drive slower. Talk slower. Listen more and speak less.

Pull back. Take time off if you can, or at least a half a day when possible. Use this time to do things that bring you joy. Appreciate the beauty around you. Go outside, take a walk, and intentionally look for God’s beautiful creations. Remember, walk slowly and breathe!

Rest in Him.Use this time and space to get alone with the Father. Bask in His presence. You don’t need to do anything, but sit in His presence. Glorify God and praise Him and you will see a shift not only in your atmosphere but you will have the joy and peace that you are longing for. Thank God for His faithfulness, and for interceding for you. Thank God before He answers your prayers, and by faith believe He is working on your behalf. Don’t try to figure out how or when He will answer your prayers.

When life feels overwhelming and the urge to quit arises, remember that finding strength isn’t about pushing harder, but about intentionally slowing down. By focusing on your breath, creating margin in your schedule, pulling back from distractions, and grounding yourself in the presence of the Lord, you can trade exhaustion for peace. Trust in God’s faithfulness, release the need to control the outcome, and find renewed joy by resting in Him.
