When your mind starts to spiral and the weight feels too heavy to carry, remind yourself of these three things:

  • You don’t have to figure it all out today. God provides manna for today, not a surplus for next month. You only need enough grace for the next fifteen minutes, and He has already promised it will be there.
  • Your worth is not tied to your productivity. God loved you before you did a single productive thing this week. He loves you simply because you are His child. Your rest is just as holy as your labor.
  • He is carrying what you drop. When you hit your limit and have to let go of a ball you’ve been juggling, it doesn’t fall into an abyss. It falls into the hands of a Sovereign God who cares for you.

A Prayer for Your Week

Lord, I am tired. My mind is racing, and my heart feels heavy with things I cannot control. Right now, I lay these burdens at Your feet. I confess I cannot carry them on my own, and I thank You that I don’t have to. Please trade my anxiety for Your peace, my weakness for Your strength, and my heavy heart for Your rest. Guide my steps today, and help me to trust You with tomorrow. Amen.

Your Homework: Sometime today, find just two minutes to sit in absolute silence. Close your eyes, open your hands palms-up on your lap, and whisper: “Jesus, I give this day to You.” Let Him carry the weight for a while. You were never meant to carry it alone.
