“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19
There are seasons when life feels like an endless wilderness—dry, barren, and exhausting. But I sense this encouragement: you have gone from a wilderness season, through a season of transition, and now you are stepping into a completely new era.
The old season has passed. What belonged to that chapter will not be carried into this new one to hinder or wound you again.
The wilderness may have left you battered and bruised, but during the transition, the Lord was quietly doing deep work within you. He has been healing wounds, breaking strongholds, and loosening bondages that may have held you for many years.
At times, you thought it was over.
You wondered if you were changing at all. Some days it even felt as though you were moving backward. But those moments did not mean your healing had stopped—they were part of your healing journey.
You were never meant to remain in captivity.
You were never meant to live your whole life in transition.
You are emerging from a season that has felt dead, dry, parched, and barren—a season marked by many years of trials and struggles.
Though it seemed your life was about to crumble beneath the weight of old pressures, persistent problems, and familiar battles, the heavy yokes have been broken from your neck and shoulders.
The Lord has been faithful.
You allowed Him to do deep work in your heart. It was not easy. There were moments when you wanted to quit. Yet you stayed with Him, and nothing you surrendered will be wasted.
Seeing Through Healed Eyes
Everything will begin to feel new.
You will experience life through healed lenses rather than wounded ones. You will begin to see with childlike faith instead of viewing every circumstance through the distortion of past pain and trauma.
What once triggered fear will no longer hold the same power.
What once felt impossible will begin to look different because your perspective has changed.
The Lord has redeemed the years that seemed lost. Nothing He has done in your life has been wasted. Even the painful places have become part of His redemptive story.
A Peaceful Confidence for the Road Ahead
Perhaps you have noticed a measure of anxiety as you have stepped out of transition and into this new season.
The Holy Spirit is lifting that anxiety.
He is reminding you that even if you do not yet know every detail of where He is leading you, you can trust the One who is leading you there.
He is bringing you into a fruitful, prosperous, and abundant place—a land flowing with milk and honey.
Your Promised Land is not built upon your own strength but upon His faithfulness.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” — Isaiah 43:18
A Final Encouragement
Today, lift your eyes from yesterday’s disappointments and fix them on what God is doing now.
The Lord is making a way where there seemed to be no way. He is bringing rivers into dry places, restoring what was lost, and inviting you to perceive the new thing He is already causing to spring forth.
Trust Him.
The wilderness was never your destination.
Prayer
Father, thank You that You are the God who makes all things new. Help us release the former things and trust You with what lies ahead. Heal every lingering wound, break every remaining stronghold, and give us eyes to perceive the new thing You are doing. Replace anxiety with Your peace, strengthen our faith, and lead us confidently into the abundant future You have prepared. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection Question: What is one “former thing” God may be inviting you to release so you can fully embrace the new season He is bringing?
