Word of Encouragement: It’s Time to Prophesy to Those Dead, Dry Bones

The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was…

The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.  He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.  He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’”  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

Ezekiel 37:1-10

Just as Ezekiel stood in a valley of dry bones, you may feel surrounded by situations that seem beyond repair—dreams that have withered or hope that has dried up. But remember, no situation is too dead for God’s restoration. Through faith and the power of His Word, He can breathe new life into the impossible. Trust that as you speak His promises over your circumstances, His Spirit is moving to bring rattling bones together and raise up a testimony of victory where there was once only desolation.

Speak Restoration and Life:

⬇️ Below are some examples that you can use.

  • For Yourself: Today, I speak life into every dry area of my soul and circumstances. I declare that the breath of God is entering my weary places, bringing restoration, strength, and new purpose. I declare great health, sustaining energy, and overflowing joy over my mind and body. What once seemed dead is now coming to life by the power of His Word, and I will stand as part of His vast army, victorious and renewed.
  • For New Beginnings and Vitality: I declare that because I am in Christ, I am a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17). I believe that the same Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in me, giving life to my mortal body and every dead situation I face (Romans 8:11). I am revitalized, renewed, and walking in the fullness of God’s life today.
  • For Freedom from Worry and Anxiety: I declare that I am free from worry and anxiety. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I cast all my cares on Him, for He cares for me (1 Peter 5:7). I replace anxious thoughts with prayer and gratitude, and I receive the peace of God, which transcends understanding, to guard my heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-7). My mind is stayed on Him, and I walk in perfect peace.
  • For My Spouse: Today, I speak life over my spouse. I declare that they are filled with unity, peace, and the love and light of Christ. I declare great health, sustaining energy, and overflowing joy over them. I further declare that they have a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are being transformed into His likeness. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4, 7).
  • For My Marriage: I declare restoration over my marriage. Where there has been dryness or distance, I command the spirit of unity and love to move, bringing healing and fresh life to our bond. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity (Colossians 3:14).
  • For a Prodigal Child: I prophesy life over my child. Even if they feel far away or lost, I declare that the Spirit of the Lord is reaching them, bringing them back to hope, wholeness, and a renewed relationship with God and family. I trust in the promise that there is hope for his future, and my child will return (Jeremiah 31:17).
  • For My Family: I declare that my family is filled with unity, peace, and the love and light of Christ. I speak these blessings over every family member, that they may each come into a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be transformed into the likeness of Jesus. How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1).
  • For Difficult Family Members: I speak peace and understanding over my interactions with difficult family members. I declare that the love and light of Christ soften their hearts, removing bitterness and confusion, and that our relationships are guided by patience, grace, and reconciliation. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger (Proverbs 15:1). I bind the works of darkness from their lives and from influencing them or me.
  • For My Neighborhood: I speak life over my neighborhood. I declare that this community is being awakened to God’s presence, that walls of division are coming down, and that it is growing into a place of support, renewal, and hope. I declare peace, quietness, order, and beauty over these streets. I explicitly declare that all witchcraft and religious spirits are broken and have no place here. Finally, I declare that relationships with neighbors are peaceful, considerate, and cooperative. Also, I pray for the peace of my neighborhood, knowing that in its peace, I will have peace (Jeremiah 29:7).
  • For My Home: I declare that peace, love, order, beauty, joy, and laughter fill this home. It is a sanctuary of rest and a place where God’s presence dwells, bringing light and life to every room. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).
  • For My Church, Pastor, and Elders: I declare that my church, pastor, and elders are filled with the Holy Spirit and operate powerfully in the five-fold gifts. I bind all works of darkness, including witchcraft, from having any influence over our church. I declare that the light of Jesus Christ exposes and removes all darkness, allowing His truth and holiness to reign. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (Ephesians 4:11-12).
  • For Public Places (Restaurants, Shops, Parks): As I enter any place, I declare that angels of the Lord are present on assignment to cleanse the atmosphere of any demonic interference and to protect my comings and goings. I bind all works of darkness while I am there. I invite the Kingdom of God into every place I go, and I declare that the atmosphere shifts to one of peace and light everywhere that I go. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore (Psalm 121:8).
  • For My Business: I declare success, prosperity, and wisdom over my business. I speak life over my endeavors, declaring that they are built on a foundation of integrity and excellence, and that they bear fruit that impacts others positively. I bind any works of darkness or opposition, and declare that favor, growth, and divine strategy are at work in every aspect of my professional life. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans (Proverbs 16:3).
  • For Those I Intercede For: I speak life, breakthrough, and divine intervention over every person I pray for. I declare that the power of God is active in their lives, breaking off every assignment of the enemy, and leading them into greater revelation, purpose, and wholeness in Christ Jesus. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people (1 Timothy 2:1).
