This is designed to shift your focus from your performance to God’s presence. Instead of trying harder to “be good,” these prompts help you sit in His love until it naturally changes your desires.
Week 1: Dismantling the Shame
Focus: Understanding that your identity is “Child of God,” not “Sinner.”
- Days 1–3: The Prodigal’s Welcome. Meditating on the Father running toward the messy son (Luke 15).
- Days 4–5: Condemnation vs. Conviction. Learning to recognize the difference between the enemy’s voice and the Spirit’s nudge.
- Days 6–7: The Finished Work. Understanding that Jesus + Nothing = Salvation. You cannot add to what He did on the cross.
Week 2: The Heart of the Father
Focus: Getting to know the character of the One you feel you’ve let down.
- Days 8–10: Slow to Anger. Exploring the “long-suffering” nature of God (Exodus 34:6).
- Days 11–12: New Mercies. Practicing the “Morning Reset”—letting yesterday’s failures stay in yesterday.
- Days 13–14: The High Priest. Reflecting on how Jesus empathizes with our weaknesses because He was tempted too (Hebrews 4:15).
Week 3: Breaking the Cycle
Focus: Practical spiritual habits for when temptation strikes.
- Days 15–17: Confession as Healing. Shifting confession from a “guilt trip” to a “cleaning session” (1 John 1:9).
- Days 18–20: Identifying Triggers. Asking the Holy Spirit to show you why you turn to certain sins (loneliness, stress, anger, boredom).
- Days 21–22: The Power of the Word. Replacing “I always fail” with “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.”
Week 4: Walking in Freedom
Focus: Living a life fueled by love rather than fear.
- Days 23–25: Abiding, Not Striving. Learning that the branch doesn’t “struggle” to grow fruit; it just stays attached to the vine (John 15).
- Days 26–28: Community and Light. The power of bringing your struggle into the light with a trusted friend or mentor. You can always contact me for a 1:1 coaching session or email coaching session.Stephanie Reck
- Days 29–30: Victory in Progress. Celebrating small wins and resting in the fact that God is the one finishing the work He started in you.
Daily Devotional Structure
To get the most out of these 30 days, I suggest using this simple 10-minute flow:
- Scripture: Read the assigned passage.
- Reflect: Ask, “What does this tell me about God’s heart for me today?”
- Release: Explicitly name the failure you’re carrying and “drop it” at the feet of Jesus.
- Affirm: Speak the truth out loud: “I am forgiven, I am loved, and I am being transformed.”
